The severing of diplomatic ties with Qatar and instating of a land, sea and air blockade against Qatar in 2017 by Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt was an unprecedented act in the history of relations between Qatar and its fellow Gulf Cooperation Council member states. This study aims to describe the existing image of the main positions of Arab politicians and analysts regarding the Qatari crisis. The uniqueness of the work is due to the current political agenda in the region, and the conclusions of this work will allow us to supplement the scope of research on this issue, which has so far been covered more in the analytical than in the academic environment. The work focuses on Qatar’s support for the Muslim Brotherhood during the Arab Spring, the growing influence of Iran and Turkey in the region, the GCC crisis and changes in the region, which played an equally important role in influencing the decision of Saudi Arabia to break diplomatic ties and establish a blockade against Qatar.
