Sustainable Consumption: A Study of the Non-economic Factors Influencing the Consumers’ Choice on the Textile Market

The aim of this work is to identify non-economic factors affecting the choice of textile products with a high ethical and environmental component. This study was based on data from a self-compiled and conducted online survey of 199 respondents. Having performed a descriptive and regression analysis, we have confirmed that the main factor affecting the choice of textile products with a high ethical and environmental component in Russia is the level of consumer awareness. In addition, the work also proved the positive impact of the close environment, certification, inclusion in other ethical and environmental consumer practices.
