Xi Jinping took his office as a General secretary of the Communist party of China in 2012. From this point forward, Chinese political structure has undergone changes. During Xi era China removed Presidential Term Limits which is seen as the end of collective leadership. Furthermore, new committees were created. These committees are responsible for all aspects of China's domestic and foreign policy. The aim is to understand the changes in China's political structure which were proposed by Xi Jinping. To achieve this, the following objectives need to be achieved: -Find out which changes proposed by Xi Jinping will have the greatest impact on the further development of the PRC political structure -Determine the main functions of the new committee which were created by Xi Jinping -Determine the further impact of the concentration of power in the hands of one leader In order to achieve these goals, a series of different methods were adopted. In order to determine the main trends in the domestic political situation of the PRC, various methods of historical analysis were used. In this study was used information from Chinese state media like Xinhua, People's Daily, Qiushi because they reperesent ideas of Chinese officials. Moreover, we analysed information from one the most famous Hong Kong media, The South Сhina Morning Post. The results are as follows: 1. Rethinking collective leadership 2. Power vertical 3. Strengthen the party's control over all aspects of life All in all, it can be said that now it is too early to make any conclusions about Xi Jinping’s reign. However, it is quite obvious that China is returning to one-man rule. The consequences of this leadership can be very unpredictable.
