Critical Success Factors in Agile Software Development Projects

Agile developing methods in IT projects continue to gain popularity with ability to adapt to unstable environment, in contrast to traditional approaches. At the same time, many companies want to increase their competitive advantages by automating processes. However, the proper implementation of such kind of projects remains a serious challenge, since failure can lead to significant risks, up to the collapse of the company. This study assumes that understanding of the interdependences in the IT project has a strong influence on its success. Despite a large number of studies on this scientific field, it is still not clear what agile instruments and practices or their combination is best to practice in certain case. Therefore, conducting further research and studying the experience of Russian agile IT project-management contributes to filling the existing gaps and the accumulation of best management experience.
