Specificity of Russian Streaming Services' Development: Original Series' Production Strategies

The project work presents the production model of the original series production for Russian streaming video services. The production of these premium products is a promising method of competition in the market of domestic web platforms, as well as a way to achieve success in the foreign market. In preparation for the creation of the model, media texts, production plans and strategies were studied, dedicated to the concept and specifics of the work of streaming services and the social phenomena of the transition to the studied type of broadcasting and the transformation of television broadcasting. In addition, the academic literature on the history of the creation of the largest streaming platforms, both Russian and foreign, was reviewed. The main research method was expert interviews with employees of web platforms. As a result, a model was developed for the successful broadcast of premium content on streaming services, which takes into account all the trends in the development of domestic web platforms, the audience was analyzed and its main interests were identified, and the specifics of film production in general were studied.
