The topic of this creative project is «A Series of Video Interviews About the Deurbanization Process in the Russian Federation». It became more relevant after the coronavirus pandemic, as well as the launch of new government support measures for people who move to live and work in rural areas. The objective of this project was to create a pilot series of video interviews that will encourage viewers to move to the village. The interviewees were people who have already moved to rural areas and experts in the field of rural and agriculture development. To achieve this objective, the authors completed some theoretical, practical, and creative tasks. Namely, they studied current research on the process of deurbanization in Russia, the causes of this phenomenon, and the forecasts of analysts. The authors studied the theoretical and practical aspects of creating media products in the video interview format, as well as the popularity of this genre among the Russian audience. Moreover, the authors developed the concept of a pilot series of video interviews, conducted preparatory work for the shooting, analyzed how to place and promote the project, developed a strategy for promoting the project, and identified its target audience. The final stage of the work consists of shooting a pilot series of video interviews, editing, posting the project on the YouTube platform and the social networks Instagram and VKontakte, as well as analyzing the work carried out. The pilot series of the project received high coverage and a positive response from the audience. Indeed, after watching the video, the audience had a desire to move to rural areas and share the video with their friends and family. The successful release of the pilot series showed the audience's need for this kind of content, which means that it is necessary and urgent to continue working on the project. New interviewees and experts from the field of urban studies, sociology, and demography will be involved in the shooting of the next series of video interviews about the process of deurbanization in the Russian Federation - they already want to take part in this project. In particular, one of the future experts of the project, a Russian scientist in the field of agricultural economics, academician of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Petrikov proposed to involve the authors of the creative project in researching the process of deurbanization and a rural local economy based on the Russian Institute of Agrarian Problems and Informatics in 2020. Key words: deurbanization, moving to the village, countryside, development of rural areas, rural life, interview, YouTube.
