Representation of Sociocultural Norms and Values in 2010 TV Series

The modern film industry has become an integral part of popular culture. One of the most popular products of the modern film industry is television series. The peculiarities of modern consumption of media products are such that it occurs in the global communicative environment. TV series are no exception in this regard and can be considered an important component of world culture.This research is aimed at identifying the features of the representation of socio-cultural norms and values in the TV series of the 2010s. The main research method is narrative analysis.The study determines how the values and norms of global culture are represented in the TV series of the 2010s. The focus of the srudy is primarily on the representation of the body in the series and the social practices in which it is involved. The results show that the body representation in the TV series of the 2010s reflects the transformation of socio-cultural norms and values in the context of globalisation.
