Business Implications of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality

In this final qualifying work, the topic is considered: "The use of virtual and augmented reality in business", namely, in the field of healthcare. The main purpose of the study is to review and analyze the collected statistics on the use of these technologies in the field of medicine. To study this goal, the following tasks were set: 1. Consider the history of the creation and development of virtual and augmented reality technology. 2. Understand the concept and principle of operation of VR and AR technology. 3. To study already existing case studies for the implementation of these technologies. 4. Compare virtual and augmented reality in the medical field. 5. Analyze the varieties of software for the development of products based on the technologies under investigation. 6. Identify the pros and cons of introducing technologies into the healthcare sector. 7. Compare the current state of the market and its immediate future. 8. Review and analyze the statistics of VR and AR in medicine. 9. Describe acceptable options for the development of VR and AR technology in medicine. This work will consist of an introduction, a main part, which in turn is subdivided into 3 chapters, a conclusion and a list of literary sources. The first chapter will consider a brief history of the creation and development of virtual and augmented reality technologies. The types of software required to maintain the performance of these technologies are considered. The second chapter is aimed at analyzing the already existing examples of the use of VR and AR in the healthcare sector, analyzing the current state of the market for technologies in medicine, as well as identifying factors affecting the implementation of these technologies in the medical field. The third chapter examines the possibilities of introducing virtual and augmented reality into the healthcare sector. This chapter provides an overview and analysis of the statistics obtained, an overview of the future state of the market, and also considers the acceptable options for the development of virtual and augmented technology in medicine. Also in the work there is a conclusion in which brief conclusions are made on the work done. And at the very end there will be a list of used literature. The result of this work will be an analysis of the collected statistics and an overview of acceptable options for the development of VR and AR technologies in the healthcare sector.
