This work is aimed at studying the case of space "DK Roza"in the city of St. Petersburg . The problematic field of research is to clarify exactly how the space of DK Rosa is organized, taken as a unique case of an alternative "scene" located in the conceptual gap between the creative spaces / artist run space / socialist houses of culture. Approaches to the study of communities are considered in the theoretical part of the work: from the classics to modern critical theories. Particular attention in the text is paid to the concept of “right to the city”. The empirical part is devoted to research in the format of a qualitative methodology of how the DK Roza is “made” by people involved in this place: why this place is important and special for its participants / participants, what happens in DK Roza, how is the care of the space, how power/responsibility is distributed, and what lines of contradiction exist in DK Roza, noticed by the author of this work.
