This study analyses the provision of commercial infrastructure in the bordering districts of Moscow and Moscow region (using the example of Ivanovskoe district and Reutov city). It also presents domestic and foreign research on the necessity of commercial infrastructure for sustainable development of the city, describes the methodology of calculating the share of commercial infrastructure. The concept of a service model for district development is described.
