Estimation of Influence of Road Construction and Maintenance on Accident Severity and Frequency

According to federal statistics, every year the vast number of Russian citizens die in car crashes. For example, only in Moscow region car accidents caused injuries to more than 9,000 people. [10] To improve results of the road safety strategy and funds management it is crucial to have the knowledge what factors influence more the security issues and the situation on highways. The useful tools could be road crash prediction models. One of the scopes of this research is to determine the impact of road maintenance and other management processes on car crashes. This article regards both severity and frequency road accidents prediction models using aggregated data of Leningradskoe shosse in Moscow
