In this work, a study of commuting labor migration in Germany was carried out using the method of gravity models. As a result of the analysis of flows between 400 German regions in the period 2013–2019, there were identified factors that have a positive or negative effect on the intensity of commuting movements. During the study, there were highlighted the advantages and disadvantages of the main methods for studying migration flows.
