Creative industries in the Nizhny Novgorod region: problems and opportunities

The creative industries have a huge impact on the global economy. Therefore, understanding the specificity of the market and its trends and challenges is an important objective in developing the forecasts. However, the creative industries sector is just in the beginning of developing in the Russian market. The current research is aimed at the expanding comprehension of the existing problems and existing opportunities in the creative industries market in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Thus, this study first reveals the differences between Russian and foreign experiences and compares this information with real cases in the Nizhny Novgorod market. This paper then reviews the challenges and opportunities in the market of creative industries using a content-analysis method, which examines the level of understanding overcoming market problems in the Russian Federation. Then received information is compared experiences from leaders from the market of Creative industries in Nizhny Novgorod. Finally, based on the information received, a forecast of developing in the market of creative industries in the Nizhny Novgorod region are developed.
