Year of Graduation: 2024

The master's thesis was completed in a design and research format and represents the development of a project product - a model of a structural unit of an engineering and technical orientation in an institution of additional education for children. The development of the model is carried out in accordance with the terms of reference. According to the results of the developed model, an acceptance certificate was signed with the customer of the model of the structural unit of engineering and technical orientation in the institution of additional education. The first chapter of the master's thesis examines the basics of additional education for children and adolescents with a focus on the engineering and technical sphere in Russia. The paper presents the theoretical and legal foundations of this type of education. Key concepts of the study are defined, such as “additional education”, “model” and “engineering and technical orientation”. Next, the peculiarities of additional education in the engineering and technical field for children and adolescents are considered. The experience of organizing additional education in the engineering and technical field at the DDT “On the 9th Line” is also presented [Lakhmenev, 2022]. Chapter 2 presents the results of empirical studies conducted to create the prerequisites for modeling a structural unit of engineering and technical orientation in an institution of additional education for children and adolescents. In order to identify the problem areas of DDT "On the 9th line", an analysis of DDT educational services and resources was carried out. Also, to study the experience of implementing engineering and technical programs within the framework of structural divisions, a comparative analysis of educational services of various structural divisions of engineering and technical orientation of educational institutions was conducted. Within the framework of the second chapter, a survey of participants in the educational process was also conducted: parents and teachers. The questionnaire for teachers was focused on their professional activities, and for parents – on the assessment of educational activities of the institution. Interviews were conducted with the heads of educational institutions that have an engineering and technical department in their structure. The interview was conducted in order to obtain an expert assessment on the formation of a structural unit of an engineering and technical orientation. Based on the analysis and interpretation of the data obtained in the empirical part of the master's thesis, a model of a structural unit of engineering and technical orientation in an institution of additional education was developed. The third chapter of the master's thesis presents a logical and semantic model of a structural subdivision of an engineering and technical orientation in an institution of additional education. The logical and semantic model is a set of 4 subspaces, each of which, in turn, is divided into key components. The components have two-way communication with each other. Graph theory was used to interpret the data of the structural subdivision model of an engineering and technical orientation, on the basis of which a matrix of interrelations of components of the structural subdivision model of an engineering and technical orientation was formed. The logical and semantic model allows you to determine the key components of the future structural unit by adding the arithmetic sum of all incoming and outgoing connections of each component. Highlighting the most significant components will reduce the dimensionality of the data and simplify the model, while preserving information about the most important characteristics of the data. The master's thesis is completed on 177 pages of typewritten text, accompanied by illustrative and reference material, which is presented in the form of 30 figures (diagrams), 34 tables and 11 appendices. The bibliographic list of sources and literature that were used in the work consists of 100 titles, including 5 in a foreign language. The resulting model will be tested in the 2025/2026 academic year at DDT "On the 9th line", which acted as a customer, which is confirmed by the terms of reference and the act of acceptance of work on the development of a model of a structural subdivision of an engineering and technical orientation in an institution of additional education for children.
