Regional System of Higher Education in Saratov Region (analytical review) Annotation. The analytical review is an analysis of the educational migration situation in the region using official statistical information, as well as information available in the public domain. The purpose of the product was to develop recommendations for improving the activities of educational organizations of higher education to ensure their congruence with the personnel needs of the region in the context of modern migration trends based on the analyzed data. The product contains analytical data on the educational migration situation in the Saratov region; the authors analyze data from the Unified State Examination of school graduates in the Saratov region, trajectories of graduates entering universities, as well as employment data of university graduates, which allows one to assess both employment by activity profile and the level of wages by industry. The uniqueness of the development is due to the fact that this kind of analysis has never been carried out by universities in Saratov or regional authorities. This made it possible to obtain a general picture of educational migration in the region, as well as to develop recommendations to regional authorities and educational organizations on solving migration problems, including educational and labor ones. The analytical report received feedback from the customer – the Ministry of Education of the Saratov Region. Key words: analytical review, migration Engineering Leadership: How Can Universities Increase the Loyalty of Future Engineers? Case of Moscow Polytechnic University Annotation. The current scientific and technological agenda dictates the need to train engineering personnel. Russia's technological sovereignty and import substitution are impossible without qualified engineering specialists. The case was developed on the basis of real information about the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education "Moscow Polytechnic University" and is devoted to the problem of attracting talented youth to engineering fields through the prism of an engineering school. The case is based on an analytical review of the admissions campaign for engineering majors at the Moscow Polytechnic University and other universities, an analysis of the work and prospects for the activities of the Moscow Polytechnic School of Engineering. The School of Engineering is a structural unit of the university that combines engineering educational space for high school students, their parents and teachers. The advantage of the solutions proposed in the case is that they allow schoolchildren, their parents and teachers to be involved in career guidance work at earlier stages than competitors; the developed strategy leads to an increase in enrollment and attraction of applicants with high scores, winners and prize-winners of Olympiads in engineering fields, makes it possible for first-year students to quickly adapt in the educational process and in project work. Key words: engineering directions, applicants, engineering school University Alumni Engagement: Frontiers of Research and Current Practices (in the World, Russia and Kazakhstan) (article) Annotation. The article highlights the results of a study aimed at studying the peculiarities of interaction between universities and their graduates in the context of front-line research and existing practices in the world, Russia and Kazakhstan. Building a long-term partnership with graduates by the university is the most important area of its work, as it contributes to the implementation of the university’s sustainable progressive development strategy, improvement of academic policy, organizational culture, and ultimately, increasing its customer focus, competitiveness, reputation and prestige. Therefore, the purpose of this article is a methodological and empirical study of the specifics and trends of universities’ work with graduates based on an analysis of world experience and practice of post-Soviet countries (Russia and Kazakhstan) based on a bibliometric analysis of published research; structuring country models of interaction between universities and alumni; identifying structural gaps in social partnership between universities and graduates and directions for strengthening it in university practice in Russia and Kazakhstan. The key results of the study included the identification of systemic problems in working with graduates, as well as the development of recommendations for improving this activity. This article, translated into English, received a positive review from members of the editorial board of the Journal “Access to science, business, innovation in digital economy” (Web of Science, Q4) and was accepted for publication in 2024 (in the May issue). Key words: university graduates, interaction with alumni, partnership with alumni.
