Mentoring Program as a Means of Enhancing the Professional Competence of Young Teachers

The relevance of the chosen topic is supported by numerous studies in the field of education and is key to addressing many current issues in the educational sphere. According to recent research, the implementation of mentoring programs enhances the professional development of educators, facilitates the adaptation of young teachers to their new roles, and creates a favorable atmosphere for knowledge exchange. The main goal of the project is to create an effective mentoring program for young teachers. The object of the pre-project research is the improvement of the professional competence of young teachers, with the subject being the positive impact of the mentoring program on the development of young educators in the professional field. The practical significance of the conducted research allows us to conclude that a mentoring program, tailored to the specific features of a particular educational institution, can contribute to teacher retention and elevate the level of education in the academic establishment. Data on the deficiencies of the mentees were collected through survey methods. A SWOT analysis was conducted based on the research results. The implementation of the developed program indicates that the mentoring program has a positive impact not only on the adaptation of educators in the educational environment but also contributes to the enhancement of their professional competence.
