Short Animated Film Faceless

Globalization and the spread of mass culture changes the modern world rapidly. The preservation of the national identity, folklore traditions of various ethnic groups are becoming incredibly important. In each multinational country, the challenge of preserving the cultural heritage of ingenious peoples is acute. Our country is not an exception. Unsurprisingly, we could notice the rising interest of popular culture to the folk tales, myths and stories in recent years. The huge part of the mass culture production is presented by the animated films, which are simple and easy to understand by both adults and children, and is seemed to be an excellent instrument for preserving ethnic memory. My final project is the development and production of the animated drama film the All-Faces based on folklore myths and legends of the indigenous peoples of the Altai Mountains could also be such a tool. During my work, I used various scientific methods such as content analysis, observation method and visual research. Based on the research results I was able wrote a script for the animated film based Altai myths and legends, found out the visual techniques helped to portray the main idea and atmosphere of the film and visualize landscapes and main characters.
