In this paper, we will look at various strategies that have been released on a personal computer or mobile devices. Popular and important games for the history of the gaming industry will be analyzed, which will help identify the most important properties that strategies must have in order to become popular among players. The selected games differ from each other in graphics, setting, gameplay, complexity and other features, which allows us to consider most of the range of strategies, and not limit ourselves to games that are popular with the same users. This study aims to help in the development of strategies in the future. An approximate formula for creating such a game will be formulated and evaluated, which will help game designers either come up with a product for a large audience faster, or understand that such a task is not worth wasting the company's resources. This analysis will be of practical use in our current project, the game "Green Revival", determining its target platform and changing the mechanics. In the future, the research can be continued and extended to a larger number of games, as well as other game genres that differ significantly from strategies, but are still popular only on one of the platforms.
