In modern society, the importance of information is increasing. In this regard, information intermediaries are significant, since they provide access to information. However, nowadays in practice there are different approaches to determining the legal status of such persons. That is why it seems necessary to analyze the theoretical and practical aspects related to the legal status of the information intermediary.The aim of this work is to develop proposals for improving the legal regulation of the status of an information intermediary in the Russian Federation based on the analysis of current legislation and practice in Russia and foreign countries.
