German migration crisis is a multifaceted issue that has been present in contemporary political science. It affects Germany as well as the European Union as a whole, offering both the perspectives and the downfalls. This research will elaborate on the topic of German migration crisis to understand whether it has been a way to facilitate additional economic growth for the largest EU economy, or it is a burden that will lead (or has probably already led) Germany into recession. Firstly, the research will tell about the origins of the migration crisis and the countermeasures to stimulate certain policies that would protect Germany from the catastrophic inflow of migrants. Besides, the research will analyze certain legal regulations in order to understand the judicial framework behind the strategies for the response to migration crisis. What is more, the research will then proceed to provide some empirical evidence to understand the tendencies that are likely linked to migration crisis in the German economy. Unemployment, social support, poverty rates, sectoral development and economic structure will be analyzed in order to understand what impact the migration crisis has produced on the German economy since 2015. Finally, the research will move on to sum it all up with the possible remedies to migration crisis or, if the migration crisis has appeared to have been successfully solved, the ways to improve economic conditions and facilitate growth. In order to draw a conclusion, various dimensions of argumentation will be used to grasp the understanding about the German migration crisis and its impact on the national economy, both in the short and in the long run.
