In order to optimize time costs when writing programs, developers massively use open source components distributed under different types of open licenses. As a result, they get programs created on the basis of third-party developers' code, which do not guarantee legal purity of derivative creations and contain potential security threats. In this regard, there are a number of legal risks that should be taken into account at the pre-contractual stage when developing, acquiring or alienating computer programs.
