The work examines the issues of regulation and protection of the results of intellectual activity that are not protected in the Russian Federation in accordance with Part Four of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. In particular, such objects include innovation proposals, scientific discoveries and domain names. The work analyzes the reasons why rationalization proposals, scientific discoveries and domain names did not receive legal protection in accordance with Part Four of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, and analyzes the experience of their regulation and protection in other states, as well as in international acts. In relation to domain names and rationalization proposals, the work analyzed current Russian judicial practice, as a result of which it was found that despite the lack of protection of such objects in accordance with Part Four of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, the courts provide legal protection to such objects using various methods of protecting violated rights. Based on the results of the research carried out in the work, it was proposed to change the norms of the current legislation in order to improve the regulation and protection of the results of intellectual activity considered in the work.
