Problems and Features of Identifying Monopolistic Activity by an Economic Entity Owning a Digital Platform

The digitalization of economic processes has made fundamental changes to the existing understanding of competition between business entities and market relations. The widespread influence of digital technologies leads to structural changes in traditional sectors of the economy, the emergence of new digital markets and its participants - business entities using digital platforms in business activities, which is a new “challenge” for antimonopoly authorities in the form of ensuring legal protection of competition in the new realities. The strengthening role of digital platforms in the activities of these business entities, in particular, leads to the fact that antimonopoly authorities around the world are faced with new manifestations of both traditional forms of monopolistic activity and anti-competitive behavior that had no analogues before.
