Brand Identity of the Kanava Animation Studio

Student: Zol`nikova Svetlana

Supervisor: Ilya Andreevich Bannikov

Faculty: School of Arts and Humanities

Educational Programme: Design (Bachelor)

Final Grade: 7

Year of Graduation: 2024

My visual research focuses on the depiction of animated fairy-tale characters in the almanac "Mountain of Gems", and examines their representations in various animation styles. The aim of my research is to investigate whether the choice of animation technique influences the perception of these archetypal heroes, and if so, how exactly. By conducting visual research, I aim to understand which techniques are best suited for depicting certain types of characters, in order to effectively communicate the message and tone of the cartoon. The insights gained from this research will be valuable in my future work as an animator in the animation studio, the identity of which I am doing as my diploma.
