Recent years have seen an extraordinary resurgence of interest in the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, however, there is no consensus regarding the assessment of these technologies from the standpoint of their safety and the need for government control. Consequently, the purpose of the proposed research is to identify regulatory tools (with the possibility of involving private organizations for joint work) capable of ensuring the safe use of artificial intelligence. The study employed both desk and field qualitative analysis methods, including a literature review, population surveys, and in-depth interviews with respondents from various sectors of public production. Based on the results of the research, the main risks associated with the use of artificial intelligence were identified, measures to combat them were developed, and directions for further work in this area were formulated.
