Creating an optimal investment portfolio that includes High-Yield (HY) Bonds presents unique challenges and opportunities for investors. This study aims to explore intricacies of incorporating HY into a mixed diversified investment portfolio to enhance return potential while managing risks. The research involves historical and financial analysis to evaluate performance of HY bonds in modern portfolio and its role in generating abnormal returns. Integrating modern portfolio theory (MPT) principles, the project developed a strategy for asset allocation and selection to optimize the portfolio’s returns.
