«Immortalized in Heaven»: a Videogame (Game Designer, Programmer)

This research details the concept of "Push Forward Combat" design in shooters, first introduced by id Software studio in the 2016 game Doom. The main principles of this idea, aimed at involving the player in a continuous gameplay loop without allowing him to get out of the flow. The features of Push Forward Combat implementation in Doom Eternal are analyzed, such as placing health/ammunition inside enemies, exploiting enemies' weak points, and the use of glory kill and stun techniques. And also how these mechanics encourage the player to use aggressive combat tactics.
