The research considers the issue of bonds as a means of financing the activities of leasing companies on the example of the German corporation Volkswagen Leasing GMBH. It characterizes the leasing market in Germany, the efficiency and peculiarities of bond issue in comparison with other financing instruments. It considers factors affecting the volume (amount) of bond issuance, such as the weighted average term to maturity of the bond, the coupon of class A bonds, one-month EURIBOR, the number of new contracts, and the number of contracts in the securitized portfolio. Regression analysis is performed to identify the significance of these factors. As a result, it is concluded that the above regressors influence the bond issue volume of the leasing company Volkswagen Leasing GMBH and that there is a relationship between the issue amount and the operating activity of the corporation.
