Development of an Online Course on Creating Media Projects for Schoolchildren

Student: Ariana Dikaya

Supervisor:

Faculty: Faculty of Creative Industries

Educational Programme: Journalism (Bachelor)

Final Grade: 10

Year of Graduation: 2024

The final qualifying work is devoted to the development of an online course on creating media projects for high school students, in particular, students in pre-professional classes in the field of media. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts and represents the process of creating an online course with its subsequent publication and testing among the target audience — students in grades 10-11. The relevance of the project lies in the active development of media classes in schools, whose students create various media projects as part of homework and competitive assignments. The purpose of the developed media product is to provide information on the production of school media projects in various formats, including the stages of creation and the features of each. Through a series of short and dynamic original video lessons and text materials on creating media projects, the online course helps media class students create their own project without wasting time searching for theoretical materials all over the Internet. The course combines several formats: longread, group on social networks, podcast, photo report and video report. The online course is published on the Stepik platform and allows anyone to take the training.
