The tourism industry is evolving due to society's increasing media exposure, leading to the emergence of new interactive mechanisms enhancing exploration of urban areas. However, the Russian media sphere lacks projects that comprehensively establish the correlation between gamification mechanisms and their influence on user behavioral patterns during tourist interactions. The authors develop a unique approach to exploring urban spaces, involving the combination of transmedia storytelling principles with fundamental gamification approaches. Through quantitative surveys and analysis of existing cases the project team identifies the most effective educational and interactive techniques for engaging three target audience groups. The project consists of three interactive routes around the city of Vladimir, distributed across four mediums: a Telegram-bot, a web page, printed guide maps, and audio tour extensions, which together create an immersive experience and enhance user motivation to complete the excursion. The authors' contribution serves as a framework for the development of forthcoming interactive tourism initiatives designed for the young Russian audience.
