Visual study “Entranceway. Between personal and social" is a part of the graduate qualification work. The object of research is the entranceway, which is considered from different sides: architectural, cultural, social. The attitude of a person to the entranceway as a kind of transition from the privacy of the apartment to the society is considered. The purpose of the research is to trace the dependence of the entranceway appearance on the lifestyle of people of different historical periods, peculiarities of their interaction, attitude to personal and social. These aspects of interaction between people, as well as such concepts as personal space, territoriality and privacy, will be disclosed in more detail within the framework of the graduate qualification work “Distance (dis)comfort”. The concept of distance will be considered from the point of view of personal development, social interaction, hierarchical relations between people, as well as from the point of view of the coverage of these issues in literature and art.
