Creation of a Transmedia Project to Promote a Musical Event of FLOCKY RECORDS Studio

Student: Zarina Kamalova

Supervisor: Maxim Kornev

Faculty: Faculty of Creative Industries

Educational Programme: Media Communications (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2024

Due to various external shocks over the last 5 years (COVID-19 pandemic, economic sanctions, foreign policy environment), the Moscow market of musical events has undergone significant changes. Thus, in 2021 there was a sharp decline in the activity of their (events’) organization and execution, due to significantly changed patterns of people's social behavior. The goal of this project is to create a conceptually unique media product in the segment of hip-hop events in Moscow and to identify the most successful mechanics of promoting a musical event of this format. To fulfill this goal it was necessary to make a transmedia strategy to promote a hip-hop event of the recording studio "FLOCKY RECORDS". As a result of this work it was possible to develop the project's social networks from scratch, attract more than 100 visitors to the niche music event, recoup marketing investments, as well as identify the most effective ways of marketing support for such events in the media industry.
