The problem of domestic violence is widespread all over the world, including in Russia. According to the UN, every third woman in the world has been physically and/or sexually abused by a partner or another person at least once in her life. According to a study by the team "Algoritm sveta", a joint project of a Consortium of women's NGOs and sociologist Svetlana Zhuchkova from the Higher School of Economics, 71% of all women killed in Russia died as a result of domestic violence in 2020-2021. This work is devoted to the construction of the image of a victim of domestic violence in the Russian Internet media. The key research method is quantitative frame analysis based on the four–part scheme of the American professor in the field of media and public relations Robert Entman. A total of 350 articles were studied from 2017 to 2023 based on data provided by the social media and media analytics system "Medialogia". The frames obtained in the course of the study indicate the construction of the image of the victim, who is responsible for the violence used against her, as well as for stopping this violence and getting away from the aggressor.
