The Results of Employment of Republic of Bashkortostan Universities and Vocational Education Graduates in the Russian Labour Market

The aim of this research is to analyse factors which affect wages of graduates in the Republic of Bashkortostan. In order to prevent the endogeneity issue the Heckman self selection model is used. The results of the analysis show that men on average earn more than women, and age positively affects wages. The hypothesis of the impact of the form of education (intramural/extramural) and the source of funding for education (state/fee-paying) on wages were not confirmed.The study revealed the need for further analysis of the labor market for graduates in order to develop measures to improve their employment and increase their wages.
