Assessing The Impact Of Corporate Governance Quality On The Profitability Of Private Banks

The purpose of this study is to trace the most significant parameters of boards of directors in improving the profitability of credit institutions and to form an optimal set of board characteristics to maximize the effectiveness of banking activities. In the empirical part, panel regression analysis will be conducted based on the data of TOP-50 private banks in Russia by asset size for the period from 2017 to 2021. We tested the impact of board size, gender diversity, education, age and experience of board members on the financial ROE and ROA.
