Student: Dorovskikh Ivan

Supervisor:

Faculty: Faculty of Creative Industries

Educational Programme: Media Communications (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2024

The project-creative format paper develops the format of a conceptual music album and its production using the DIY method. Theoretical part contains a review of the current literature regarding DIY and indie music, as well as the latest practices in the field of music production and storytelling. The practical part of the paper outlines the stages of work on the product and details the production process, including an analysis of the competitive environment and distribution prospects. The final product is a musical album “M”, which includes 9 tracks, which are connected by sound and storyline. The novelty of the project lies in the combination of two different aspects of the musical product: multi-genre and storytelling. With the help of artistic and expressive tools available in the context of work with both audio and text, the album presents a story about a love triangle among bohemian youth.
