The Interplay of Anthropological and Literary Language in Journalistic Text About Poetry: The Example of the Articles From Poetry Magazine

The study explores the interplay of anthropological and literary language in journalistic text about poetry using the example of articles from the 2022 and 2023 issues of Poetry Magazine. This work aims to study the role of anthropological and literary language and their interaction and mutual influence in a journalistic text about poetry. This study uses a cross-disciplinary approach to the study of journalistic text from the perspective of modern Cultural Anthropology and Literary Theory. The first part of the study contains an analysis of the transformation of the genre of contemporary Arts journalism and the definition of modern anthropological and literary languages based on relevant academic literature on contemporary Arts journalism, Cultural Anthropology and modern poetry. The second part of the study analyzes cultural journalistic articles about poets and poetry from twenty-two issues (2022–2023) of the Poetry Magazine. During the study, we determined the main features of the use of anthropological and literary language in journalistic texts about poetry, as well as their interplay and mutual influence within the text.
