Media Clustering as a Strategy of the Russian Creative Industries Development

Creative industries are one of the most dynamic and priority segments of the global economy in the 21st century. Through turbulent times and crisis media try to find new ways of interaction and cooperation to ensure further growth and development. Clustering in this case serves is a natural process and an economic tool which allows companies and individuals in a specific industry to consolidate their efforts, to enhance their efficiency through territorial proximity and collaboration. The goal of this reserch is to determine the potential of media clustering strategy of the development of creative industries in Russia. The research also builds on the analysis of the existing Russian media clusters’ activities and effects, on identifying their trends and development prospects.
