Production of a Documentary Film About the School Theater

The graduation project is devoted to the creation of a participatory documentary film about the author's school theater. The objective of the project is to product a unique creative product by combining an actual and at the same time poorly represented topic in the Russian media field and an original narrative style. The final media product is a documentary film (duration is 34 minutes and 55 seconds), published on the YouTube platform witn an open access. The chosen documentary format combined a set of in-depth interviews taken by the author from teenagers participating in her school theater, recordings of chronicles and observations from classes, trainings filmed by the author and pupils, inserts-comments by the author and an author's summarizing monologue to the audience. The project is noncommercial due to the priority of its social task — to inspire students, teachers, and young people to taking part in the development of the culture of school theaters in Russia.
