This graduation paper complements knowledge about transmedia storytelling in documentary filmmaking. As part of this work, a transmedia project will be created about the cultural and ethnic self-identification of Sakhalin Koreans in Russia. The first part is theoretical. It consists of three chapters that examine the general concept of transmedia storytelling, describe the specifics of this format, as well as explore the documentary genre and, finally, consider the potential for implementing transmedia storytelling in the genre. The second part is a project note consisting of 7 chapters. It describes the concept of the created transmedia project and its features, the target audience of the final product, an analysis of the competitive environment, the subtleties of organizing the work process, as well as methods of its distribution and promotion. This graduation paper also contains a legal note indicating the legal status of the project and assessing information and legal risks. The final part presents in detail the process of working on the transmedia project, revealing the problems and difficulties that the authors had to face. Thus, the graduation paper not only explores transmedia within the framework of documentary, but also has practical significance, illustrating the first results demonstrated in the creative part.
