Gamification of Educational Medium in the Field of Media Literacy Through Various Game Formats

The graduate paper is devoted to the analysis of gamification formats in the field of media literacy education. The aim of the study is to determine the most effective gamification formats for teaching media literacy. The study consists of three chapters – two theoretical and one practical. The first chapter is devoted to the analysis of media literacy in the modern education system. The second chapter contains an analysis of gamification as a tool in the process of teaching media literacy. The third chapter presents a comparative analysis of modern practices on the application of gamification in the field of media education and the identification of the most effective ones. Thus, the study helps to systematize all the advantages and disadvantages of various gamification formats (quests, board games, non-specialized computer games and media educational computer games) for teaching media literacy.
