The research investigates the concept of “intermediality,” focusing on the incorporation of poetic narratives in films and how integrated narratives influence the perception of a leading narrative. By conducting an analysis based on the literary narrative theory of Roland Barthes, it tends to find intermedial relationships through the works of Soviet poets Bulat Okudzhava and Robert Rozhdestvensky and the films in which their poems were integrated in. Theoretical base provides insights on the concept of intermediality, including “literature—cinema” intermediality, as an existing transmedia phenomenon, while the practical part examines specific poems and their intermedial place in films.
