The popularity of representations of the 1990s in Russian media has grown, but there is no project in the Russian media landscape that aims to reflect on the chosen period rather than artistically reinterpret it. The genre of the multimedia anthology as a memory archive combines a variety of format elements, making storytelling an effective method of communicating new knowledge. A survey was conducted to understand the target audience's background, media content preferences and knowledge of the chosen period, which showed a growing interest in the period. Based on the data, themes were developed and a multimedia anthology was created to provide a view of the period through vision of people who lived at that time, encourage interaction with history and provide a platform for others to speak and be heard. Keywords: memory studies, collective memory, digital memory, mediatisation of memory, collective trauma, post soviet russia, nineties, zeros
