The sports drama "One more season" explores the consequences of choosing a career as a professional athlete and highlights sports as a system of rigorous selection, emphasizing that not everyone who wants to climb on the social ladder associated with sports will achieve success. The film critically examines the perspective that professional sports automatically shape character and guarantee success in life. This project aims to challenge some deeply ingrained beliefs regarding professional sports and reveal the cost athletes pay in their pursuit of medals through a documentary format. By Employing the direct cinema method, the documentary develops a deeper comprehension of the complexities surrounding athletes who make a decision to continue or quit professional sports. Through an observational approach, the film delves into life events of a typical athlete, season after season, persisting in training without achieving desired outcomes. It seeks to shed light on the downside of professional sports, fostering meaningful discussions about the necessity of specialized programs aimed at facilitating the societal adaptation of athletes who have concluded their athletic careers.
