Creating a Music Video for Russian Indie Artist

Over the past decades, music videos have become not just a form of self-expression, but an important marketing tool. Using various visual techniques and storytelling, artists interact with their target audience and promote their art. Due to high competition and abundance of content, it is especially challenging for indie artists to create high-quality videos. During this project work, an original music video will be created for a Russian indie artist O!Margo. Taking on the role of producer, art director and director, we strive to create a media product that will mark a new chapter in the artist’s art and boost her career. The video “And sun and Moon” explores the theme of feeling of home, loneliness and creativity. The emotional message of the song is conveyed in the music video using storytelling and contrasting locations. The project studies the entire production cycle of music videos, taking into account the specifics of indie artists and can be used as a guide when creating music videos.
