The study investigates the impacts of YouTube on Traditional media and the evolving media landscape in Africa particularly Nigeria and Ghana. With the rise in social platforms and changes in news consumption, the research aims to provide a comparative analysis of news contents and its alignment with ethical journalistic standards in African settings. The study adopted a qualitative method using content analysis for YouTube and conventional media stations with a focus on Journalistic values such as accuracy, impartiality, objectivity, and visuals. The researcher analyzed 200 data collected from Nigeria and Ghana on YouTube and traditional television for this analysis and a codebook was used to code the units of analysis generated. The study intends to emphasize the significance of sustaining journalistic standards amid rising digital space and news consumption.
