Online Media Campaign Management in the United Nations Development Program-Syria (UNDP-Syria) in 2020-2023

The spread of digital technologies on a global scale has led to changes in people’s behavior and, accordingly, business models, strategies, and marketing of enterprises. Therefore, posit that social media and social network tools, especially WhatsApp Messenger and Facebook, have become the dominant factor in today’s digital world. Media campaign management is one of these tools, which plays a role in delivering the message to the target audience according to a method that works on one of the media outlets that would deal with various media content according to specific rules and frameworks, which are designed and applied towards reaching the goal of the designed media campaign. In our current era, many institutions, organizations and companies are following the system of online media campaigns, because of its speed and sophistication that contributes to the campaign reaching the largest audience, in addition to the variety of content that can be used within the campaign, such as articles, videos, cartoons, animated films, graphic designs. \In the medical field, the Surviving Sepsis Campaign aimed to reduce the risk of death from severe sepsis and septic shock by developing evidence-based guidelines and implementing them through educational programs. The value of human life in the military has also evolved, with a shift towards recognizing soldiers as beings with intrinsic value and a societal duty to protect them. On other hand, social media has increased connectivity on all levels, as consumers, companies, and potential employees have more access to one another than ever. Although a company’s success may not rely on the strength of their social media presence, it is becoming an increasingly important factor, and one that is not likely to disappear anytime soon. . This diversity of content enriches the media campaign that is managed according to the goal to be reached, so the management team also includes the social media and e-marketing team, which is an important part of the management team. The management of online media campaigns also depends on the type of target audience and its specificity, as the audience has different characteristics from one country to another, from one city to another. Therefore, studying the audience's privacy helps a lot in managing the content of the online media campaign, especially in countries that are concerned with conflicts and wars, including Syria, which has been at war since 2011, so that its audience gains privacy that is different from many, which pays attention to managing online media campaigns to ensure that the content meets the needs and interests of the target audience. One of the organizations that worked on managing online media campaigns in Syria, the United Nations Development program, especially in the period from 2020 to 2023. During the corona pandemic, where active emphasis was placed on online work and the adoption of online media campaigns in awareness-raising. The author saw that studying the management of online media campaigns at the United Nations Development Program in Syria is a model for how to manage these campaigns, study their audience, in an effort to achieve the goal of the campaign, reach as much audience as possible, and then analyze the results of the campaign.
