ESG Investment Strategy: Impact on the Value of Russian Industrial Companies

In recent years, there has been a growing interest in Russia in considering ESG factors when making investment decisions. This thesis explores an investment strategy based on the principles of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) responsibility and its impact on the valuation of Russian industrial companies. The paper outlines the history, key concepts, and significance of this principle for corporate functioning. Several pooled and fixed models, a logit model, and principal component analysis were constructed for a detailed analysis in the research, allowing hypotheses to be accepted/rejected and conclusions to be drawn based on the findings.
