As part of our research, through the use of external join and integration techniques, we created a physicalization that shows data on the cyclical nature of fashion trends. We reviewed the history of physicalization, and also described methods and classifications. In addition, we determined what is true for textile physicalization based on experiment. We also set the boundaries of high fashion and developed a system of aesthetics within which the cyclical nature of fashion trends is expressed: Cottagecore, Grunge, Modern, Y2K, Old Money. We researched fashion trends based on an analysis of the collections of the fashion houses Maison Margiela, Versace and Chanel, taking into account the color palette, material, print, number of layers, cut and gender type. We also proved the cyclical nature of fashion by analyzing data across collections. We got a gradation of styles from most to least in terms of layering: Grunge, Cottagecore, Old Money, Y2K, Modern. Based on oversize: Cottagecore, Grunge, Old Money, Modern, Y2K. We also tested the hypothesis by testing three physicalization models, one of which was brought to full readiness. Methods used in the study: classification, comparison, measurement, analysis and synthesis, deduction, induction, experiment. The empirical basis of the study was the results of an analysis of collections of high fashion houses from 1993 to 2024, presented on the online photo archive website The firstView and in the Vogue Runway mobile application.
