Year of Graduation: 2024

This study will focus on the analysis of the energy resources market in Russia, specifically the markets for gas and oil. Russia is a major exporter of these commodities, and it is therefore important to understand how fluctuations in prices of these raw materials will affect macroeconomic indicators and how different energy carriers interact with each other. The first step will be to examine the relationship between the oil and gas markets, as well as whether there is any correlation between these fossil fuels. It will also be necessary to determine how changes in the price of one type of fuel affect the cost of another, and whether price fluctuations react similarly to external shocks. In addition, this study will explore the mechanism through which changes in resource prices impact Russia's key macroeconomic indicators such as nominal GDP, the dollar exchange rate, external debt and inflation. The overall goal of this research is to gain a comprehensive understanding of how the energy export market in Russia operates and its impact on the country's economy. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the Russian economy does indeed depend on export prices for resources. A greater impact is observed from the oil market, and this also affects the situation on the gas market.
